Borgal 24%

Borgal 24% is a broad-spectrum antibiotic with a bactericidal effect. The active substances trimethoprim and sulfadoxine both block the synthesis of the bacterial coenzyme F at different sites. Borgal can be used in cattle, calves, horses, foals, pigs and small rodents. In cattle and calves for; Gastrointestinal infections caused by Escherichia coli or Salmonella spp., urogenital infections caused by E. coli, respiratory infections, wound infections caused by gram-positive or gram-negative bacteria, generalized infections caused by E. coli sepsis. (see leaflet for full indications) In dairy cattle, mastitis/udder inflammation is a common disease with a significant economic impact. It results in a reduction of milk production and in a change of the milk composition. Borgal 24% is very effective against mastitis/udder inflammation.
