Tylosin 50% WSP (1kg) is a bulk-size water-soluble macrolide antibiotic powder containing tylosin tartrate 500mg per gram. What is Tylosin?

Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic produced by Streptomyces fradiae, with broad bacteriostatic action against gram-positive bacteria, Mycoplasma, Clostridium, spirochetes, and certain gram-negative organisms. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis at the 50S ribosomal subunit.

Indications

Chickens (Broilers & Layers):

• Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) — prevention and treatment of Mycoplasma infections
• Necrotic enteritis — control of Clostridium perfringens outbreaks
• Infectious sinusitis, synovitis, spirochaetosis
• Reduction of infection severity following vaccination stress

Turkeys:

• Infectious sinusitis associated with Mycoplasma gallisepticum

Pigs:

• Swine dysentery — treatment and prevention
• Necrotic enteritis and gastroenterocolitis
• Porcine proliferative enteropathy (ileitis)

Dosage and Mixing Instructions

Administer via drinking water only. Medicated water should be the sole water source during treatment.

How to Prepare

1. Pre-dissolve the required powder in a small amount of slightly warm water (add water to powder)
2. Stir thoroughly until fully dissolved
3. Add the concentrate to the total water volume
4. Prepare fresh solution daily — do not store prepared solution overnight

Contraindications

• Do not use in animals hypersensitive to tylosin or macrolide antibiotics
