Tylovet B-200 is an injectable macrolide antibiotic solution containing tylosin at 200mg/ml, designed for intramuscular administration in livestock and companion animals. Unlike the water-soluble powder forms used in poultry, this injectable formulation allows precise individual dosing for cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, and dogs — making it ideal for treating individual sick animals rather than medicating an entire flock or herd via drinking water.

How Tylosin Injectable Works

Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic produced by Streptomyces fradiae with broad-spectrum bacteriostatic action. It inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, preventing bacteria from producing essential proteins for growth and replication.

The injectable form provides rapid systemic absorption, delivering therapeutic concentrations to the lungs, liver, kidneys, and soft tissues quickly — critical when treating acute respiratory infections or systemic bacterial disease.

Indications by Species

Cattle:

• Respiratory diseases: Rhinitis, bronchitis, pneumonia (including bovine respiratory disease complex)
• Mastitis and endometritis
• Infectious conjunctivitis (pinkeye) in calves and cows
• Foot rot (panaritium)
• Vibriosis and leptospirosis
• Infected wounds

Sheep & Goats:

• Respiratory infections (pneumonia, bronchitis)
• Contagious agalactia
• Mycoplasmal arthritis
• Vibriosis

Pigs:

• Respiratory diseases (rhinitis, pneumonia)
• Necrotic enteritis
• Swine dysentery
• Mycoplasmal arthritis

Dogs (Off-Label, Under Veterinary Guidance):

• Respiratory infections
• Chronic diarrhoea and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
• Soft tissue and wound infections

Dosage and Administration

Administer by intramuscular injection only, once daily for 3–5 days.

Example: A 500kg cow at 10mg/kg needs 25ml (5ml/100kg × 5), split across three injection sites (max 10ml per site).

Side Effects

Contraindications

• Do not combine with penicillins, cephalosporins, or lincomycin

• Sheep: Meat 42 days, Milk 108 hours

• Pigs: Meat 16 days
