Contraindications: hypersensitivity to procaine; a preliminary test is performed.

Adverse reactions: Idiosyncrasy, collapse states, skin reactions, etc.

Dosage and administration: parenteral. Dose: For conductive or regional anesthesia, 1% solution or combination with adrenaline hydrochloride; for small ruminants, swine, rabbits, and birds, 1 ml per 1 kg BW; For spinal anesthesia (without adrenaline), a 1% solution is injected into the spinal canal. For lumbar /subarachnoid /anesthesia – in large animals – 1-3 ml; in dogs – 1 ml; for sacral /epidural, high sacral /anesthesia – in large animals – 20-40 ml; for caudal /low sacral /anesthesia – in large animals – 5-10 ml; for intra-arterial administration /for inflammations localized in the limbs/ – for horses 0.1-0.15 ml of 1% per kg BW; for epipleural insertion /anesthesia of the organs in the thoracic cavity/ – 0.25 mg/kg BW of 1%; for muscular application /in inflammatory diseases/ – for large animals – 40 ml of 1% solution.
