Depo-Promone is a long-acting injectable progestogen containing medroxyprogesterone acetate 50mg/ml, used to prevent and suppress oestrus (heat) in female dogs and cats. A single subcutaneous injection prevents heat for up to 6 months in dogs and 4–6 months in cats. Must only be administered during anoestrus (the resting phase between heats).
