ENROXIL 50 mg Enrofloxacin
ACTIVE SUBSTANCE AND INGREDIENTS
Each tablet contains 50 mg Enrofloxacin. Light biconvex tablets, from yellowish to brownish, with possible visible white or dark spots, with bevelled edges.
The product is given to dogs in the treatment of bacterial infections of the digestive tract, respiratory and urogenital tract, skin infections, secondary wound infections and external otitis, where clinical experience indicates enrofloxacin as an elective drug.
Do not use in dogs less than 1 year old or in very large breeds of dogs with a period of growth up to 18 months because articular cartilage may be affected during the rapid growth period. Do not administer in the event of hypersensitivity the active substance or any of the excipients. Do not use in dogs with apoplexy because enrofloxacin can cause central nervous system stimulation.
In the period of rapid growth, enrofloxacin may affect the development of joint cartilage. If you notice any severe side effects or other effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your veterinary surgeon. In rare cases, anorexia and vomiting are observed.
DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE (S) OF ADMINISTRATION AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Do not exceed the recommended dose. The recommended dose for dogs is 5 mg / kg Enroxil Flavor 50 mg Tablets for dogs, orally, once a day or divided into 2 doses on the same day for a period of 5 to 10 days, during meals or between meals. The duration of treatment in dogs may be extended depending on the clinical response and recommendations of the responsible veterinarian. To ensure a correct dosage, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible to avoid overdosing. The daily dose for dogs of average breeds is: 1 tablet Enroxil Flavour 50 mg per 10 kg body weight.

The tablets are given orally, once a day or divided into 2 doses on the same day, during a meal or between meals.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR STORAGE
Keep out of reach of children. The unused half-life of the tablet is reintroduced into the original package and given within 24 hours. This veterinary medicinal product does not require any special storage conditions. Do not use after the expiration date printed on the label.
Do not combine with theophylline (a medicine used as a bronchial dilator) as it may increase the time for disposal of this substance. Concomitant administration of magnesium or aluminum-containing substances may be followed by delayed absorption of enrofloxacin. Fluoroquinolone treatment recommends only if clinical response has poor response or is expected to be poorly responded to treatment with other classes of antibiotics. It is recommended that the decision on the use of the product is taken only based on the results of the antimicrobial tests. Using the product inconsistent with the instructions in the SPC may increase the resistance of bacteria to fluoroquinolones and may induce a decrease in the effectiveness of other quinolones due to cross-resistance.
